About RevalioBot

Last updated 28 August 2026

If you found RevalioBot/1.0 in your server logs, this page explains what it was doing.

What it does

RevalioBot fetches a small number of pages from a business website to assess how easy that business is to contact and how quickly enquiries are likely to be answered. It reads published pages only. It does not attempt to log in, submit forms, or access anything behind authentication.

How it behaves

  • It honours robots.txt, including declared crawl delays.
  • It rate-limits itself per host and fetches only a handful of pages per site.
  • It identifies itself honestly in the User-Agent string, with a link to this page.
  • It refuses private and internal address ranges.

How to block it

User-agent: RevalioBot
Disallow: /

We honour this on the next visit. No further action is needed.

Remove a report about my business

Use the suppression page — it unpublishes any report about your domain and stops further contact. No account required.
